ABSTRACT: Evapotranspiration (ET) is one of the main components of the hydrologic cycle. Thus, the present research intends to analyze the Instantaneous Evapotranspiration (iET) estimated from SR data and its correlation with ST and NDVI in the Hydrographic Basin of the Vacacaí-Vacacaí Mirim rivers, located on the Brazilian Pampas, considering possible changes in soil cover verified through the classification of digital images. The methodology employed included the use of Surface Energy Balance Algorithms for Land (SEBAL) for the estimation of iET, with Landsat 8 OLI/TIRS satellite images for winter (08/28/2013 and 07/30/2020) and summer (01/19/2014 and 03/08/2020) and meteorological data (relative humidity, wind speed, and atmospheric pressure), available at the National Institute of Meteorology. From the satellite images, we also calculated the NDVI and surface temperature, and maps of soil cover. The results obtained allowed for spatial and temporal analysis of the aforementioned variables and their influence over different types of soil cover. We were able to verify a negative correlation of high degree between the ST and iET variables, a positive correlation of moderate degree for NDVI and iTE for four images analyzed. In addition, we observed meaningful variations in an interval of soil cover change between areas of fallow and agricultural cultivation. The techniques of remote sensing enabled the identification of the alterations and the behavior of the variables in different soil covers, pointing to the impact of the alterations of these variables in anthropized environments. |
